Erasmus+ KA220-SCH August 2024 – August 2026

The ‘From Waste to Art – Inclusion Through Art’ project (2023-2-TR01-KA220-SCH-000170114) is funded by the Turkish National Agency under the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH action. It aims to promote inclusion and raise environmental awareness through innovative educational practices. Running from August 2024 to August 2026, the project brings together schools and other organisations from Türkiye, Poland, Slovenia and Bulgaria.

Key Objectives

  • Develop teachers’ knowledge and skills in inclusive education practices.
  • Support inclusive communities by encouraging cooperation between pupils with special educational needs, their peers and parents.
  • Raise awareness of environmental sustainability by turning waste materials into works of art.

Main Activities

The project provides training in inclusive education for teachers, workshops for parents and pupils, and creative activities in which participants make artworks from recyclable materials. It also develops an e-learning platform to make educational resources available to a wider audience.

The project team is also preparing a report with recommendations for education policymakers to help introduce these practices more widely across education systems.

Project Outputs

  • Develop comprehensive training modules for teachers and parents.
  • Prepare lesson plans and create an e-learning platform that is open to everyone.
  • Raise environmental awareness in educational settings and promote wider use of inclusive education practices.
